Reporting and Writing
Writing was my first love as an aspiring journalist. Words hold power, and I sought to wield that power with honor and courage as I told the diverse stories of my community.

From my early days of two-week assignments to my senior year filled with long projects and spur-of-the-moment breaking news coverage, the way I reported changed dramatically as my role on the staff did.

But throughout it all, my love for storytelling and writing was the primary driving force behind every journalistic endeavor I took.

As I became editor-in-chief of The Budget, I was tasked with creating themed issues that had a central theme that reflected and related to our student body. I was also charged with upholding The Budget's role as voice of the students. Click the title or photo to see some examples of my editorial writing in high school.
